Get the Alexander McQueen look without the matching price tag

At first glance, both these amazing houndstooth bags look strikingly similar. Look again and you’ll notice that the Alexander McQueen bag on the right had a mixed effect that would only result in disaster if we tried to achieve the same in a Do-it-Yourself project. The quality of McQueen’s bag can’t be doubted, and the twisted patchwork undoubtedly takes a special hand to make stylish.

However, if the houndstooth look is your primary priority, the stylish the bag on the left is an on trend, affordable option. Debenhams’ £18 bag puts you strikingly close to the designer look, without dishing out for the designer price tag or looking as if you’ve gotten a dodgy imitation.
