During Milan Fashion Week, which ended January 19, many designers and executives talked about signs of improvement in the luxury sector, forecasting a tepid recovery for <span>Italian</span> menswear. &#8220;We are seeing positive signals. The (sales) <span>haemorrhage</span> seen at the end of 2008 and in the first half of 2009 has stopped, &#8221; said <span>Gianluca</span> <span>Brozzetti</span>, chief executive of Roberto <span>Cavalli</span></span><span>. Targeting the cautious buyer in the hope that the sector will pick up again this year, designers went for a more laid-back chic style, highlighting &#8220;the message of value and heritage&#8221; in their winter proposals . A more value for money marketing message that we&#8217;ll probably see more of during the upcoming fashion shows.</span></p>
