While Lindsay Lohan was making her social rounds at Europe Fashion Weeks, doing front rows at runway events, attending after parties, arriving late to John Galliano’s ready to wear show (you know… doing the Lindsay stuff), everyone was wondering about her future at Ungaro – is LiLo still working has an artistic advisor for the label or has her design career ended after last season’s glittery pasties and cheesy “hearts on butts”? Despite the negative reviews, Ungaro’s chief executive Mounir Moufarrige insisted that the line was selling well, but after all, Lohan was the one to admit in a recent comment “ in certain situations, my name will cheapen things because that’s what people have made of it.”
The answer came early this week. “She’s not involved in this collection”, Ungaro owner Asim Abdullah has said, on Lohan’s absence from the latest fashion show. A decision that seems to have bothered Karl Lagerfeld most of all – “It’s not doing her justice because she’s the sweetest girl in the world”. Don’t get us wrong, we’re all for the sweetness and goodness of heart, but when it comes to fashion we prefer to aim for more talented skills. Mr. Lagerfeld, you of all people should understand that!
With Lindsay out of the game, Ungaro’s Fall 2010 collection debuted on Paris last Monday, featuring only the creative talent of designer Estrella Archs.

LiLo, you’re a peach and we love to read about your adventures in the grown-up’s world. We aren’t mean girls, but have to say it – if anything else, this collection is much more classy that the one you advised on. If you take the fashion thing a bit slower, we’ll keep an open mind on 6126 though, deal?
