Giorgio Armani has been nominated to become an Italian “senator for life” by none other than designer rival Santo Versace (of the Versace fashion empire). It was said that Armani “embodied the beauty of Italy,” to which Donatella (creative director) wholeheartedly agreed. The nomination comes amid rumours of Armani seriously considering a replacement to succeed him in his style empire.
