Director Wes Anderson has always been recognised for his quirky filmmaking, from off the wall comedy like Rushmore, to charming classic tales like this month’s Fantastic Mr. Fox. In appearances on the red carpet, we’ve noticed that Anderson’s style matches his storytelling, and even his character’s choice of threads.
His style comes courtesy of New York tailors Mr. Ned, in particular one Vahram Mateosian. The designer has had a long standing working relationship with the Director, creating outfits for some of his films. The puppeteers creating the character of Mr. Fox for the film even took influence for a suit designed by Mateosian for Anderson, the director wore it on the red carpet earlier this month. Talk about life imitating art!
