It’s been almost a year and a half since the release of the Sex And The City movie, and though we’ll remember its four lead actresses, its that Vivienne Westwood wedding gown that is destined to achieve iconic status. Even recently, Nicole Roberts of Girls Aloud was pictured wearing a shortened version, and ever since the films release, brides the world over have been clamouring to get their hands on one. Though the dress itself marked the tear jerking moment Big left Carrie at the altar, its ill-fated role in the film has done nothing to diminish sales of Vivienne Westwood products. It gave the predominantly UK known label more coverage, bringing in new customers and boosting sales, also fueling Westwood’s plans to open an LA based boutique in the near future. Dame Vivienne has also offered producers of the sequel plot advice, after failing to be impressed with fashion choices in the first film. Whatever they decide, we’re excited about it, and any involvement of Vivienne Westwood’s is bound to draw people in, all thanks to that one, beautiful and utterly unforgettable gown.
